- Recognize precautions and contraindications for interventions developed postoperatively for treatment of the elbow and forearm.
- Identify important aspects of wrist and hand structure and function for review.
- Design therapeutic exercise interventions to treat impairments and functional limitations in the wrist and hand that are related to stages of recovery after tissue injury.
- Explain the key features of different approaches to the use of early motion in an exercise program following injury and repair of soft tissues in the hand and wrist.
- Develop goals and appropriate interventions for postoperative management of wrist and hand dysfunction.
- Demonstrate exercise progressions to develop and improve ROM, muscle performance, and functional use of the wrist and hand.
